Class Description

Each class provides 45 minutes of hands-on investigation of a scientific concept, discussion of the how and why, and time for self-guided inquiry and experimentation with the materials. Student experiments will range across all STEM fields. Examples include using household materials to make "lava lamps" and density towers, identifying acids and bases with cabbage juice, lighting up LEDs with different fruits and vegetables, exploring the principles of surface tension and solubility that allow plants to transport nutrients from roots to leaves, investigating static electricity, magnets and circuits, building simple machines and much more! Students meet once per week, September through May. Cost is $75 per month or $60 per month if you choose recurring payments at checkout.
